Some of the Club’s Projects

Heart House Hospice says thank you:
“We are so thankful to Kiwanis for your support of our HUUG (Help Us Understand Grief Program) ….We have been able to support a family to buy a computer for school, including printer and ink, to help the the kids with school.” Here is a thank you to Kiwanis Mississauga given by one of the youth: “I’m doing a lot better in school. Caught up in one of my classes. Grateful for printer paper and ink. Easier to plan. Relieved a lot of stress. [helpful] for school and to create my own doodle book for coping with anxious feelings. So many purposes [and they] all tie back to my mental health”.

And a special thanks from Trevon
“Good morning, My name’s Trevon, i’m the guy who you spoke to when you dropped off the backpacks at camille’s place. I hope you’re doing well. I’m just emailing because I wanted to reach out and really say thank you for everything you guys have done to help make the end of our summer camp so special. The kids all loved the backpacks and water bottles and they were so appreciative. I would also like to say how appreciative I am because even though I never got a confirmation of anything, it was such a relief to see you come in with those backpacks so we had something to send the kids off with. I have also made a little Thank you letter that I will attach to this email. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get that really good picture of all the kids with the backpacks because it got very chaotic in the room and everyone was all over the place. I’m going to send the pictures I do have and I hope they are of some use to you because we all really appreciate the kind gestures from your organization. We look forward to working with Kiwanis in the future for sure, please keep in touch! And thank you one last time! Have a great weekend and rest of your summer! “
