What We Do

The Club’s Current MAJOR PROJECTS

Heart House Hospice says thank you:
“We are so thankful to Kiwanis for your support of our HUUG (Help Us Understand Grief Program) ….We have been able to support a family to buy a computer for school, including printer and ink, to help the the kids with school.” Here is a thank you to Kiwanis Mississauga given by one of the youth: “I’m doing a lot better in school. Caught up in one of my classes. Grateful for printer paper and ink. Easier to plan. Relieved a lot of stress. [helpful] for school and to create my own doodle book for coping with anxious feelings. So many purposes [and they] all tie back to my mental health”.

We provide donations for the Heart House Hospice HUUG (Help Us understand Grief) program. The program provides support for children and youth (aged 0 to 18) who are facing the dying or death of a loved one. It was created specifically to address the impact of grief on family.

… The hard work and effort that your group has put into raising these funds is immeasurable and has ensured that the residents of this community receive the highest quality of care and support.
